The Midgetts are traveling! This past weekend Logan and I decided to take a spontaneous trip to Chicago. I originally had an appointment for the 16th but it fell through leaving the weekend open. Since we are approaching the halfway point of my wedding season I knew I wouldn't have any weekends left until December. So we packed up and took off! Plus, it made for a nice anniversary trip since we celebrated our second on the 12th. I had never been to Chicago but always wanted to go. We had talked about taking a weekend trip but never had the opportunity. We crammed so much into those 2 days that it felt like we were there for a week! We visited the Natural History Museum, the Sears tower, the bean in Millennium Park, the Magnificent Mile, the Riverwalk, took a Seadog boat tour, went to the Navy Pier and rode the ferris wheel (My first time on a ferris wheel), ate Chicago style pizza, and we got to watch a Cardinals vs. Cubs game at Wrigley field! That was on both of our bucket lists so that was amazing. And even though we lost the game it was still such an incredible experience! We were both so exhausted on the ride home! We rented bikes for most of the traveling and biked over 10 miles in one afternoon! I posted a few iPhone pictures on facebook but I wanted to share a few more from my camera! I had such an amazing time and it was a great mini vacation. Now it's time to buckle down and tackle one of the busiest times of the year for photographers! I hope you enjoy the pictures from our little mini trip!
