Michaela & Jeffrey | Married!

When I sit down with my brides at consultations, we talk about the day and how it should flow. I also talk to them about how wedding days are chaotic. You never know what will happen. They are filled with love and sometimes unforeseen situations. In Michaela and Jeffrey's case, rain. Now let me also start by saying there was a 15% chance of rain for their wedding day. That morning was gorgeous. It was cool and cloudy! But by the afternoon it was starting to cloud up, like the rain kind. i have been doing this long enough that rain doesn't scare me anymore. You just have to embrace it. And that is exactly what we all did. You couldn't have asked for a better couple and bridal party. They were all so easy going and just happy to be celebrating a marriage. By ceremony time it started to rain again. And this time a little harder. Did it dampen Michaela and Jeffrey's excitement? Heck no! She marched down that aisle in the rain and I loved every minute of it. Right before they were pronounced husband and wife, the clouds cleared and the sun came out. How much better can it get? Their wedding day was beautiful. Every second of it. Thank you both for trusting me and having me as your photographer!

I would have to agree with everything you said Lyndsey! I’m not going to lie, the heavier rain at the beginning of the ceremony had me scared. I remember looking at you and asking a couple of times if it was going to ok. You kept reassuring me that it was going to be fine and your confidence got me through. Watching Michaela step out into that rain with her eyes on Jeffrey was the most romantic thing I think I’ve evee seen. She was getting married and I think she would have step out into anything to get to him. There are a lot of things I loved about that day, but I have to say I think that was what I loved most. Thank you God for the rain, the rainbow and your blessing on their marriage. And thank you Lyndsey for your expertise and experience. You and your mother are truly the best!
